How I fell in love with love stories

Hey, I’m Chloe. The face behind Celebrant Chloe.

I didn’t get into celebrancy just because I love weddings (although, let’s be honest, I really do). I got into it because I love love, and the small part that I can play in bringing a couple’s ceremony to life. Watching two people stand up and commit to each other, in front of everyone who matters to them? That never gets old.

But truthfully, it’s all the small moments that I love the most. The nervous laughter (or deep breath) before you walk down the aisle, the happy tears halfway through your vows, and the faces of your closest family and friends as they witness you marry your favourite person. I live for it all!

When I am not writing ceremonies, you’ll usually find me running my book club, catching up with friends on weekends or at a Broncos home game, and losing an ongoing battle of convincing my cat to love me.

A few things you should probably know

  • I turn up early. Always.

    Long before your guests do. PA tested, paperwork laid out, and enough time spare to calm anyone who needs it.

  • Never the same ceremony twice

    Every script is written from scratch and bespoke to you both, based on the content from your completed questionnaire.

  • Tissues, spare pens, and a plan B

    Someone always cries and someone always forgets a pen. I come prepared for both, plus whatever the Queensland weather decides to do.

  • I read the room

    Some couples want laughter, some want quiet and heartfelt. I will match your ceremony to the two of you, not to a house style.

Peace of mind matters when it comes to the legal bits. I’m a fully registered marriage celebrant, authorised by the Attorney-General’s Department, and I keep my professional development current every single year.

That means your marriage will be entirely legal, correctly lodged, and beautifully looked after, while still feeling completely personal and relaxed.
