Gold Coast Marriage Celebrant

On the Gold Coast you get to choose between the sand and the hills. Couples here marry barefoot on the beach, on a grassy headland with the ocean behind them, or up in the cool green of the hinterland.

I love a coastal ceremony. There is something about the sound of the waves that makes everyone slow down and soak it in.

Suburbs I travel to

I travel the length of the Gold Coast and up into the hinterland.

  • Beaches: Burleigh Heads, Currumbin, Coolangatta, Palm Beach, Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise and Main Beach.
  • Around the Broadwater and inland: Southport, Hope Island, Merrimac, Mudgeeraba and Tallebudgera.
  • Hinterland: Currumbin Valley and Tamborine Mountain.

Popular ceremony spots on the Gold Coast

These are a few of the popular spots for a Gold Coast ceremony.

  • Braeside at Gin House Creek EstateA garden estate at Merrimac with a light-filled chapel, a ceremony spot beneath a grand old tree and manicured lawns.
  • The Valley EstateA nine-acre estate in the Currumbin Valley with a red-brick manor, a chapel, a glasshouse and gardens, close to the airport for guests flying in.
  • Summergrove EstateA private hinterland estate just over the border at Carool, in the Tweed, with an ocean-view chapel, garden ceremony spots and views to Mount Warning.
  • A Gold Coast beachA ceremony on the sand, anywhere from Main Beach down to Coolangatta, with the ocean as your backdrop and your toes in the sand.
  • Pethers Rainforest RetreatA boutique retreat in the rainforest on Tamborine Mountain, with treehouse accommodation for a weekend celebration.

Good to know

Beaches and parks on the Gold Coast are looked after by the City of Gold Coast, and many need a booking or permit for a ceremony. Tamborine Mountain sits within the Scenic Rim, so check with Scenic Rim Regional Council there. Get in touch with the council for your exact spot well ahead of your date.

Coastal wind is the thing to plan for. An afternoon sea breeze can pick up quickly, so think about veils, hair and anything light on a welcome table. A morning ceremony is often calmer, and a sheltered spot behind a headland helps.

The midday sun on the sand is fierce, so plan shade and water for your guests. Up on Tamborine Mountain it can be several degrees cooler, and mist rolls in some days. Either way, we will agree on a wet-weather plan before the day.

Travel

My Micro, Legals Only and Elopement ceremonies include travel within 50km of the Brisbane CBD, which does not reach most of the Gold Coast, so a travel fee applies for those, quoted when you enquire. The Full Ceremony includes travel within 100km, which covers much of the Gold Coast. Tell me where you are marrying and I will confirm exactly.
