3-4 months before your big day, we schedule your ceremony planning meeting. This is where your ceremony starts feeling real!

We can meet in person at a Wynnum bayside cafe, or online. This usually takes 60 minutes to talk through everything, so get comfy!

First we get all the legal paperwork out of the way, being your NOIM. For this, I need to sight:

  • Evidence of your date and place of birth, such as your birth certificate, or passport.

  • Evidence of your identity, such as your driver licence or passport.

  • If you have been married before, proof that your previous marriage has ended, such as a divorce order. If your previous partner has passed away, a copy of the death certificate.

I’ll also confirm your witnesses, the two people (aged 18 or over) who will sign your marriage paperwork on the day. If you haven’t chosen them yet, that’s a great thing to think about before we meet.

Remember those questionnaires you filled out in your client portal? This is where they come to life. We will work through your answers together. The little details and funny stories are what curate your perfect love story.

Next, we talk about your ceremony details. We will talk through:

  • Housekeeping announcements and timings.

  • The tone and how you want your guests to feel.

  • Your welcome and acknowledgements, including anyone who can’t be there in person.

  • The Asking (I Do), ring exchange, and who is in charge of holding the rings.

  • The order of your ceremony structure. For example, you may choose to sign your certificates before your first kiss and presentation.

  • How you’d like to exit and any after ceremony announcements.

Finally, we will cover the logistics and practical stuff for your day. We will discuss:

  • Where everyone will stand (and where I’ll stand, so I am out of shot).

  • Timing, and length of your ceremony.

  • Your venue, sound set up (who is handling your music songs).

  • Backup plan, in case the QLD weather has other plans.

  • Whether you would like an unplugged ceremony.

After the meeting I have everything I need to craft a ceremony that reflects the vibe you are after, and to tell your perfect love story. Once it is ready, I send as much or as little to you (that you want) for input, so you know exactly what to expect.

Your celebration awaits
