What Happens in an Initial Consultation?

Choosing your celebrant is a big decision. This is the person who will stand beside you on one of the most important days of your life, so it’s only natural to want to see if they have the right vibe! That is exactly what an initial consultation is for. 

There is no pressure, no paperwork and no obligation. Just a friendly conversation via a phone call or facetime. Here’s what we will chat about.

First, I want to know all about YOU! How you both met, how the proposal took place, and what your vision is for your ceremony, and date. Whether you are imaging an intimate elopement, a micro ceremony, a full ceremony, or perhaps legals only. This helps me understand if I am the right fit for you, my availability, and what ceremony package is best.

Then I tell you a little about myself and what started my journey of being a celebrant. This enables you to see if we click. 

I’ll ask you questions about your wedding planning, like location, venue, and how many guests. I ask about the vibe you want for your ceremony. I will also give you a SUPER quick run down on the booking process with me and how I help you through every step, including:

• Your private client portal, with questionnaires and ceremony resources.

• A ceremony planning meeting about 3-4 months before your wedding, face to face or online, where we also complete your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM).

• Your personalised ceremony script, that reflects you as a couple.

• Completing your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM).

Then the floor is all yours for any questions. There is no such thing as a silly question!

At the end of the chat, you should know if I am going to be the best celebrant for you. The decision should feel easy and natural. If I am, then YAY! We then move forward with the booking process, and the excitement can build for the ceremony that you will love!
