From First Enquiry to “I Do”

Planning a wedding is very exciting, but let’s be honest, it can also feel like a lot. That is where I come in. My job is to keep your ceremony organised, personal, and relaxed. I take care of all the hard bits (hello, legal paperwork), so you can focus on each other. 

So let’s talk about our first “Hello” to “I Do”. 

Step 1: Enquire

Tell me a little about your plans, your date, your vibe, and anything you’ve imagined so far. I’ll check my availability and get back to you within a few days with an introduction and information pack. 

Step 2: Initial consultation and lock it in baby!

We can have a phone call to make sure I pass the vibe check. Once you’ve decided I am the right celebrant for you, we lock in your date. From here you’ll receive access to your private client portal. This is your ‘home base’ where you’ll find your questionnaires, ceremony resources, vow writing tips, and everything you need as we work towards your day. 

Step 3: Ceremony planning

Your questionnaire covers  how you met, what you first thought of each other, and the little things you love. There are no right or wrong answers. I use your questionnaire to write a ceremony script that feels authentic to YOU. About 3-4 months before your wedding, we sit down together, face to face or online. This is where your ceremony really comes to life. We will:

• Look through your questionnaires, and make sure everything is covered. 

• Talk through your ceremony details and order of the day, including rings, vows, and where everyone stands. 

• Complete your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) together, which is the first legal step.

• Make sure we have all other legal requirements covered (i.e. two witnesses over 18 years of age). 

Step 4: Let’s talk Legals

I will guide you through all of the legal paperwork, and check that everything is in order so there are no surprises. On the day, all you need is yourselves and two witnesses (over 18 years old). I also have a short, private chat with each of you before the ceremony to confirm you are both marrying freely. It’s quick, easy and a legal requirement. 

Step 5: Your big day!

On your wedding day, I will arrive early with everything I need, including PA system, mic, vows, and your important legal paperwork. Then I will do my thing and deliver your ceremony. All you have to do is marry your favourite person. 

Step 6: Congratulations!

Yay, now you get to the celebrate, and I will take care of the rest:

• I lodge your paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages within 14 days.

• I will check in afterwards to wish you ALL the happiness in the world, and to see if you are happy for me to share some of your love on social media. 

• When you have access to your wedding gallery, I would love to see your photos.
